NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - Jesse Ruben is an up and coming music star, who has opened for stars like Rick Springfield and Jewel.

One of his songs even inspired an entire community to make a difference.

He stopped by The Couch on Tuesday to perform that song and talk about his musical journey, which includes being from a family of musicians.

His father even performed at the White House.
