NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – The Mets have added another piece to their bullpen.

The team has reached an agreement with right-handed reliever Brandon Lyon, according to WFAN/CBSSports.com baseball insider Jon Heyman.

The deal — pending a physical — is for one year, Andy Martino of the New York Daily News reported.

Lyon went 4-2 with a 3.10 ERA in 67 appearances last season for the Houston Astros and Toronto Blue Jays. The 33-year-old has a career record of 40-45 with a 4.12 ERA.

The Mets signed veteran relievers LaTroy Hawkins and Scott Atchison to minor league deals last week.
