1 Dead, 1 Wounded In South Bronx Shooting

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- As snow came down over New York City early Saturday, police rushed to the Morrisania section of the Bronx to find one man dead and another wounded in a shooting.

At 12:04 a.m. Saturday, police were called to 501 E. 165th St. in the Bronx for a report of a person shot.

Upon arriving, they found a 20-year-old man inside with gunshot wounds to the torso, and a 22-year-old man outside the building with a gunshot wound to the abdomen.

Both victims were taken to Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center, where the 20-year-old man was pronounced dead and the older man was reported in stable condition.

The deceased victim's identity was not released Saturday, pending family notification.

No one had been arrested in the shooting as of Saturday afternoon, as the investigation continued.
