With Boomer out today, attending a BEF event in Las Vegas, Craig was flying solo.
And that was just fine with him.
Not that Craig doesn’t love and appreciate his radio partner, but knowing what Boomer was up to Craig was more than up to the task of carrying the morning show load.
Craig got things started by talking about the Yankees, after their fearless leader, Joe Girardi, declared that his team can win 95 games and the World Series. Craig disagrees, saying not only will they not win 95 games, but they won’t make the playoffs.
That mindset, combined with the Mets’ bleak future, paints what could be a very dreary picture as far as the landscape of New York baseball.
As for Alex Rodriguez, the much-maligned Yankees third-baseman will not be joining his teammates for spring training, electing to conduct his rehab in New York.
Craig also touched on the nonsensical “Carmelo for MVP” talk, the idea of the Super Bowl not being played on a Sunday and Jon Stewart’s interview with Mike Piazza on the “The Daily Show”…
