Police Seek Man Who Lured Woman To Brooklyn Motel, Raped Her

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police on Tuesday were asking for the public's help in finding a man who raped a woman back in September after inviting her to a motel in southern Brooklyn for what he said would be a job interview.

The woman came to the Harbor Motor Inn, at 1730 Shore Parkway near Gravesend Bay in Brooklyn, at 3:15 p.m. this past Sept. 12 for the purported job interview, police said.

Once she was in the suspect's room, he raped her, police said.

The suspect had paid for the room at the motel. Police did not specify whether he was listed in any hotel guest records.

The suspect was described as a white male standing about 5-foot-8 and weighing 170 pounds. He had a Russian accent, police said.

Police have released three surveillance photos of the suspect.
