Brian Cashman confirmed the Yankees made a ‘significant offer’ to Robinson Cano with hopes of avoiding a bidding war for their 30-year-old second baseman.  At this point it’s not clear whether said offer was rejected or still being considered by Cano and his agent Scott Boras — but I think we all see where this is heading..

So it was there that this Friday, March 1 edition of the Boomer & Carton Morning Extravaganza began, talking baseball as the sun comes up.

It wasn’t all about baseball though, as the Jets continue their search for another quarterback — and it’s clear when one hears the name David Garrard that John Idzik is leaving very few stones unturned.
