'Big Bang Theory' Star Mayim Bialik On The Couch
NEW YORK (WLNY) -- Big Bang Theory actress and PhD Mayim Bialik will talk to 400 NYC high school girls about pursuing careers in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM).
Despite the fact that STEM careers are growing, women hold less than one quarter of these positions today. To help reverse this trend, DeVry University's HerWorld program educates high school women about in-demand STEM careers and inspires them to achieve their college and career goals.

Participating high schools include Cathedral High School, Thomas A. Edison Career and Technical Education High School, Grover Cleveland High School, Bronx High School for Law and Community Service, New Utrecht High School, Chelsea Career and Technical Education High School, August Martin High School, Belmont Preparatory High School, Brooklyn High School for Law & Technology, IN-TECH Academy and Westbury High School.
