Jerry Recco began his first update of the morning by providing a recap from last night’s WBC matchup between Team USA and the Dominican Republic, which concluded in a 3-1 loss for the U.S.

David Wright was scratched from the lineup with some sore ribs and will be evaluated further by Mets team doctors later today.

The Knicks lost in Portland to the Blazers 105-90, as the ugliness continues to escalate with regards to Carmelo Anthony and the Knickerbockers.  Anthony and Tyson Chandler did not play, as they were added to the Knicks’ laundry list of injured players.

Plus, Kenny Phillips leaves the Giants to sign with the Eagles, Elvis Dumervil will reportedly be released by the Broncos, Rangers fall 3-1 to the Jets (making Uncle Booms a miserable man), Islanders blank the lightening 2-0 and the Big East tournament is starting to get interesting…
