YAPHANK, N.Y. (AP) – Police on Long Island are searching for a missing New York City woman after her car was found abandoned near Gilgo Beach.

Police said Monday that 31-year-old Natasha Jugo’s abandoned blue Toyota Prius was found on the south side of Ocean Parkway in Nassau County on Sunday. Some of her personal items were also found.

Nassau police say there is no connection between the missing woman from Queens Village and the discovery of 10 sets of human remains in the Gilgo Beach area between December 2010 and April 2011.

The NYPD is working with Nassau and Suffolk police in the search.
