While delivering his first update of the morning, Jerry Recco followed the lead of ‘the’ Eddie Scozzare by taking pleasure in shedding light on the fact that Boomer was off with his prediction that the NFL would not pass the new helmet rule.
The Booms is a pro, so he didn’t allow Jerry’s childishness to derail him, instead it probably fueled the big blonde left-hander. Either way, Jerry eventually moved on to the Knicks, after they got their second win in a row, thanks in part to the return of Carmelo Anthony, as well as solid play from Kenyon Martin — who believes ‘the sky is the limit’ for how far this Knicks team can go.
Plus, the Nets beat down the Mavericks 113-96 in Dallas, the Miami Heat kept their winning streak alive in improbable fashion with a 27-point second-half comeback win over the Cavs, Brian Cashman says that he isn’t sure if Derek Jeter will be ready for Opening Day and sounded a little like Hank Steinbrenner. That of course prompted Craig to do some morphing and begged the question, where is Hank?
