Police: Mother With Twins In Car Charged With DWI
NECONSET, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) - A Suffolk County woman has been charged for drunk driving with her two young daughters in the car, police announced.
Danielle Ferrante, 31, of Nesconset was charged with DWI and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child after police determined she was intoxicated.
According to police, an officer saw Ferrante sitting in her parked, running car in a Shop Rite parking lot around 1:40 a.m. After talking with her, Ferrante was placed under arrest. Her 5-year-old twins were in the car with her, police said.
Ferrante is due to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Sunday.
The children were released to the custody of their father, police said.
