B&C Morning Show: Opening It Up Right; Knicks, NFL & More

Boomer and Craig opened up this edition of the Morning Extravaganza in a positive manner this morning, as the revived Knicks prepare to take on the Celtics tonight in Boston.

After losing four straight, the Knicks have 'rebounded' to win four straight - thanks in large part to the addition of Kenyon Martin (pictured). The guys like what Mike Woodson's gang currently have going on and even allowed themselves to imagine a scenario where the Knickerbockers meet the streaking Heat -- who won their 27th consecutive game last night -- in the playoffs and emerge triumphant!

Then Boomer and Craig shifted their focus to a story appearing on CBS Sports.com by NFL insider Mike Freeman, regarding a gay NFL player who is 'strongly considering coming out publicly within the next few months' and the many layers a story like this takes on.

Finally the Yankees' deal for Vernon Wells is all but official. And the Yanks aren't going to have to shell out as much money as you may have thought, based on the stipulation that the salary of any player injured - hi, Mark Teixeira! - while participating in the World Baseball Classic is not the responsibility of their respective MLB team, which obviously bodes well for the Bombers...
