Caught On Video: Armed Robbers Take Register From Kennedy Fried Chicken In The Bronx

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are searching for a pair of brazen robbers who made off with a cash register from a fast-food restaurant in the Bronx.

On March 28, two men, one armed with a shotgun, entered Kennedy Fried chicken located at 2463 Creston Ave., police said.

After an unsuccessful attempt at opening the register, the suspect pulls the cash register by its cord and carries it out of the store -- along with a trail of cash register tape.

A person was sitting at a booth when the men entered the store but could be seen on video getting up to leave during the robbery.

The shotgun-wielding suspect is described as a heavy-set black male in his 40s, roughly 6-feet tall. He was seen in the video wearing a black knit hat, black leather jacket over a zipped hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.

The cash-register grabbing suspect is described as a black male in his 30s, standing roughly 5-feet-9 inches tall and weighing around 180 pounds.

He is seen in the video wearing jeans, a white t-shirt with a greyish colored leather jacket. He was also wearing a blue baseball cap and had a stud earring in his left ear.
