Police Seek Man Who Smashed Lotto Machine At Suffolk County 7-Eleven

HUNTINGTON STATION, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- Police Sunday night were searching for a man who walked into a 7-Eleven store in Suffolk County and smashed a Lotto machine with his bare fist.

The man walked into the 7-Eleven at 329 E. Jericho Turnpike in Huntington Station at 4 a.m. March 9, and caused a disturbance in the store, Suffolk County police said.

He then punched the Lotto machine and broke it, police said. Police did not indicate or speculate on his motive for doing so.

The man then ran off from the store, headed east on Jericho Turnpike.

He is described as Hispanic and in his 30s, about 5 feet 10 inches tall with black hair and a medium build.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is offering cash reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the man's arrest. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 220-TIPS.
