Dwight ‘Doc’ Gooden joined Boomer and Craig on Tuesday morning, and after talking about Knicks-Celtics tonight at the Garden (Gooden will be there), the conversation shifted to the Mets, specifically a couple of their young arms.

I’m talking of course about young phenoms Matt Harvey – described by Doc as the Mets’ young ace — and Zack Wheeler.

After seeing Harvey in person for the first time Friday night, Gooden is a believer.  As for Wheeler, he’s been hearing good things.

All in all the man once known as ‘Dr. K’ is doing pretty well and is very optimistic about the Mets’ ‘bright’ future…
