B&C Morning Show: A Well-Rounded Open; Knicks, Nets, Draft & More

With Boomer taking the day off, Craig welcomed Robert Wuhl to sit in for the Booms. And after an eventful weekend, Craig and Robert got things started by breaking down the Knicks' 97-90 OT loss to the Celtics in Boston.

Carmelo Anthony managed 36 points while missing 25 of his 35 shot attempts and three of four huge free throws down the stretch -- he was 16-20 from the free-throw line for the game.  Despite Melo's dreadful performance, with Game 5 coming up Wednesday at MSG, neither Craig or Robert are ready to panic just yet.

As for the other local basketball team, after blowing a late double-digit lead Saturday in Chicago, the Nets will try to keep their season alive tonight in Brooklyn when they take on the Bulls trailing 3-1.

From the NFL Draft, the Jets added to their stable of quarterbacks by drafting West Virginia signal caller Geno Smith in Round 2 - sparking all sorts of speculation with regard to the Jets starting quarterback job.

The Yankees finished off a sweep of the Blue Jays in the Bronx thanks to a Lyle Overbay long ball, while the 'Not So Amazin' Mets dropped their fourth straight thanks to a three-game sweep at the hands of the Phillies.

And ,oh yeah, Boomer's beloved Rangers made the NHL playoffs -- so there's that, too.

All in all it was a well-rounded, entertaining show open - which is really the norm around these parts...
