When Boomer & Craig turned on their microphones shortly after 6 a.m. and got today’s edition of the Morning Extravaganza under way, it was Mets baseball that was on their minds. Terry Collins’ bunch dropped their sixth game in a row — a 2-1 setback to the Marlins last night in Miami.

So after Boomer vented a bit about traffic, it was the Mets that were on the chopping block after their latest implosion.  Craig summed up the Mets talk by declaring that not only are the Mets “tough to watch,” but they are “a drain on everything and everyone.”

With the Knicks preparing to take on the Celtics tonight in Game 5, the guys briefly mentioned the Yankees, who rebounded from Monday night’s loss with a 7-4 win over the Astros.  Mariano Rivera nailed down his 10th save of the young season, the most saves that the legendary closer has ever recorded in the month of April.

There was a little on the Jets after Geno Smith fired his agent after not being selected No. 1 overall, a little more on the NBA playoffs, a little on the NHL playoffs and a lotta laughs…
