"This is our neighborhood," mother Francis Yauch said. "Adam was 3 years old when we moved into State Street down the block and his whole life was Brooklyn. He loved Brooklyn."
The playground was renamed Adam Yauch Park during a dedication ceremony Friday which was attended by Yauch's parents, fellow Beastie Boy Adam "Ad-Rock" Horovitz and Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz.
