Suffolk County Man Found Safe After Silver Alert
COMMACK, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) – A missing elderly man from Suffolk County who suffers from dementia was found safe in New York City Wednesday night.
According to police, James Young, Jr., 77, had last been seen seen at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday driving away from his home on Bethany Drive in Commack with his golf clubs.
His gray Toyota Prius, with license plate number AYR 4904, was seen going through the Queens Midtown Tunnel towards Manhattan just before noon on Wednesday, police said.
Just before 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, police reported he had been found in New York City uninjured.
