WEST BABYLON, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) – A West Babylon man was arrested Saturday evening for allegedly stabbing his brother to death, Suffolk County Police announced.

Officers responded to a home on Densfield Road after John Beaumont called police to report that he stabbed his brother Thomas during an argument.

Thomas Beaumont, 57, was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip, where he died from his injuries.

John Beaumont, 54, was arrested and charged with second degree murder.

He was due to be arraigned Sunday at First District Court in Central Islip.

Both the brothers lived with their father, who was home at the time of the stabbing. He was not injured.
