Police Search For Burglars Who Ransacked Inwood Apartment

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police on Wednesday were searching for a burglar and an accomplice, who struck an apartment in the quiet western section of Inwood in upper Manhattan.

The burglary happened between 8:45 and 9:20 p.m. on May 6. A suspect sneaked into the victim's apartment on Seaman Avenue through a window adjacent to a rear fire escape, and removed items from the home, police said.

A security video shows the man leaving the area with a female suspect.

The man who was in the apartment was described as Hispanic and around 20 years old, 5-foot-10 and weighing 170 pounds. He was wearing dark clothing and carrying a bag.

The woman was described as having a light complexion and wearing dark clothing.
