NJ TRANSIT Police To Hold Training Exercise In Jersey City

NEWARK, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- NJ TRANSIT Police will be conducting an emergency response drill in Jersey City on Saturday.

The training exercise at the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail viaduct is expected to begin at 9 a.m. and last about three hours, NJ TRANSIT said.

The Jersey City Police Department, Jersey City Fire Department, Jersey City Office of Emergency Management, Hudson County Sheriff's Office, Jersey City Medical Center EMS, and the NJ EMS Taskforce will take part in the drill.

Residents may see some activity in the staging area along 18th Street and Marion Boulevard in Jersey City.

Trains will operate on their regular schedules.
