Cops Discover Decomposing Body In South Ozone Park

Medical Examiner Working To Determine Cause Of Death

NEW YORK(CBSNewYork) — Police in South Ozone Park, Queens discovered a decomposing body on Friday night.

Officers found a female, unconscious and unresponsive near the intersection of South Conduit Avenue and the Van Wyck Expressway. EMS arrived at the location and pronounced the woman dead, police said.

The body was apparently so badly decomposed that authorities could not initially determine whether it was a man or a woman, the Daily News reported.

No arrests have been made in the case, the Medical Examiner has not yet determined the cause of death.
