Police: 3 Wounded In Roselle, NJ Shooting

ROSELLE, N.J. (AP) -- Authorities say three people were wounded when shots rang out on a northern New Jersey street.

But it's not yet known what sparked the shooting, which occurred around 4 p.m. Saturday in the area of 12th and Warren streets in Roselle.

All three victims were taken to a hospital and were still being treated Saturday night, but none of the injuries were considered life-threatening.

Roselle City Councilman Ronald Hayman told 1010 WINS reporter Gary Baumgarten that violent shootings have long been a concern in the community.

"Nightmares, of course we don't want this kind of a thing, but we have to be aware that this exists in our community," he said.

Authorities were searching for two suspects _ the man who fired the shots and a woman who was him. But further details on the shooting, including what type of weapon was used, have not been disclosed.
