Giants' Headquarters At Meadowlands Renamed Quest Diagnostics Training Center

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) — The New York Giants' headquarters and training facility has a new name.

Quest Diagnostics and the Giants announced a partnership Thursday in which the team's headquarters at the Meadowlands will be renamed the Quest Diagnostics Training Center.

The change comes a day after the Giants and Timex said they were ending their four-year partnership. The headquarters had been called the Timex Performance Center.

The Giants and Quest also plan to develop sports diagnostics services aimed at determining peak performance, providing training insights, reducing injuries and improving an individual's overall health. Each year, a select group of Giants players will be given the opportunity to volunteer to work with Quest in developing these models and tests.

Quest is a New Jersey-based company with nearly 3,000 local employees.

The Giants begin training camp on Friday, and their first practice is scheduled for Saturday.
