A 10-year-old boy was swimming in the waters off Cedarhurst Yacht Club in Atlantic Beach when one of his legs came into contact with a boat's propeller, CBS 2's Hazel Sanchez reported.

One man involved with the rescue told Sanchez it was a speedboat propeller.

The boy's thigh was severely injured, according to witnesses and he was unconscious when he was pulled from the water.
