Anyone With Information Is Asked To Call Crime Stoppers At 1-800-577-TIPS

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Police are searching for a man who allegedly snatched chains off a woman’s neck in the Bronx.

The incident, which was caught on a surveillance video, happened around 8:40 a.m. last Tuesday on Walton Avenue in the Mount Hope section of the borough.

The suspect came up behind the 41-year-old woman and grabbed two chains from her neck before fleeing the scene in a silver vehicle, police said.

The victim was not hurt.

The suspect is described as an Hispanic man between 25 and 30 years old, between 5-feet-10-inches and 6-feet tall with braided hair.

The suspect was last seen wearing a multi-colored shirt, light-colored shorts and black sneakers, police said.
