The Yankees used the long ball to defeat the Orioles Wednesday night in Baltimore and now trail the second wild card spot by just one game. 

With the schedule winding down, Craig declared the Bombers’ remaining 16 games as ‘must-see TV.’

It wasn’t all roses for the Yanks though, as news came down that Derek Jeter is going on the DL and will miss the rest of the season, maybe more.  Boomer and Craig discussed the uncertain future of the Yankees captain, both agreeing that we have not seen the last of the legendary shortstop in the Bronx — only time will tell.

All of that set the table for tonight’s Jets-Patriots clash in Foxboro.  At Craig’s request, Boomer offered up a scenario where the Jets can actually emerge victorious over the banged-up Patriots.  Now the Booms didn’t go as far as to say the Jets will win, but did say they are getting the Pats at a very good time.

And so it begins…
