Based on a wager from Thursday’s show, the Booms got himself a free breakfast this morning, which brought a broad smile to the Blonde Bomber’s face.
Craig too was in good spirits, because he first of all he likes seeing his radio partner happy, and also because he really enjoys Jerry Recco’s informative, entertaining updates — which Jerry was on-hand to deliver.
Jerry began with the scoop from the Jets’ 13-10 loss to the Patriots last night in Foxboro. The game was played in less than ideal conditions, so in a strange way it made perfect sense that Boomer and Craig were singing about ‘Laughter in the Rain.’ We heard Stephen ‘Hands Free’ Hill talks about ball security after his costly ‘foot-fumble’ and Rex Ryan on the cost of mental mistakes.
Moving right along, the Yankees beat the Orioles 6-5, thanks O’s reliever Jim Johnson’s control problems. The Yanks start a three-game set with the Red Sox tonight Boston.
Plus, Craig imagines the day that Suzyn Waldman reads Boomer & Carton promos during Yankees games and then takes a couple of shots at the New York Daily News and Gary Myers during a critique of last night’s CBS pregame show. Finally a preview of Sunday’s Broncos-Pats game rounds things out and we call that a Jerry Recco update .
On behalf of Jerry, you’re all very welcome…
