Police Search For Brooklyn Home Invasion Suspects

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are looking for three men who they say pretended to be police officers while robbing a man inside his Brooklyn home last month.

The men knocked on the door of the victim's East Flatbush home Aug. 7, claiming to be cops. When the 65-year-old man opened the door, the armed suspects entered the home and then removed the man's neck chain before fleeing on foot, police said.

Authorities have released surveillance images of two of the suspects.

All three of the alleged robbers are described as black men. One is 20-25 years old, weighs about 160 pounds and stands about 5 feet, 7 inches tall. He was wearing a black baseball cap, a gray short-sleeve shirt, blue jeans and blue sneakers, police said. The second suspect is described as 28 to 30 years old, weighing about 180 pounds and standing about 5-foot-8. He was wearing a brown polo shirt with white stripes and blue jeans. The third suspect was wearing a hoodie and white pants, said police, who did not provide age or size estimations for him.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS or submit a tip online at NYPDCrimeStoppers.com.
