NEW YORK (WFAN) — The movement to rename River Ave. in the Bronx after Mariano Rivera is gaining steam — just not on the “Boomer & Carton” show.
Players have spoken out in favor of it. Even the legendary Yankees closer himself, set to retire after this season, says it “would be nice.” But WFAN morning show co-hosts Craig Carton and Boomer Esiason are still firmly against the idea.
One of the biggest Rivera Ave. boosters is fan Tom Ferrara, who was quoted in Wednesday’s New York Post. He joined Boomer and Carton on Thursday to debate the issue.
Let’s just say Carton and Ferrara don’t see eye-to-eye.
