Selden Man Faces Charges In Connection With Deadly Crash

NEW YORK(CBSNewYork) -- Suffolk County Police have arrested a man for driving while ability impaired in connection with an accident that left a motorcyclist dead in Bohemia on Saturday morning.

Paul Porrini drove a 2007 Chevrolet Express through a red light at the intersection of Johnson Ave and Veterans Memorial Highway and struck a motorcycle and three other vehicles just after 7 a.m., according to police.

Christopher White, 44, of Medford was taken to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore where he was pronounced dead. Four people in the other three vehicles were also treated for non-life-threatening vehicles, according to authorities.

Porrini, 55, of Selden was being held overnight and was scheduled to be arraigned on Sunday.
