Biron Starts For The Rangers On Saturday Night Against Red-Hot Blues

ST. LOUIS, M.O. (CBSNewYork) -- Rangers backup goaltender Martin Biron starts in St. Louis on Saturday night against the undefeated St. Louis Blues. Head coach Alain Vigneault announced on Friday that Biron would get the start at Scottrade Center.

The Rangers have begun the 2013-14 season with a disappointing 1-3-0 record. Starting netminder Henrik Lundqvist has struggled through his first four starts, posting an inflated goals against average of 4.31.

Saturday night will be Biron's first start of the season. He came in relief of Lundqvist during Tuesday's humiliating 9-2 loss to the San Jose Sharks. The Rangers have been outscored by their last two opponents 15-2.

St. Louis is coming off a thrilling 3-2 victory over the defending Stanley Cup champion Chicago Blackhawks.
