NFL great Jerry Rice called in to chat with Boomer & Craig this morning and was promptly greeted with a “Morning Cup of Joe” after saying hello.
With that out of the way, Rice briefly reflected on his Hall of Fame playing career, which meant that his Super Bowl XXIII triumph over Boomer’s Bengals inevitably came up. It’s still a sore subject for the Booms.
Rice also talked about the 2013 version of the 49ers, their rivalry with the Seattle Seahawks and offered his take on their signal caller, Colin Kaepernick. The subject of death threats and social media were discussed, and Rice shared what he does to keep busy these days. He also filled us in on how he used to catch bricks barehanded when he was younger.
Before saying goodbye, Rice’s compassionate side was revealed, as he promised a hug for Boomer the next time he sees him…
