Authorities Continue Search For Body Of April Wyckoff
UNION TOWNSHIP, N.J. (AP) — Law enforcement agencies have resumed their search for the body of a northern New Jersey woman who they say was killed by her boyfriend earlier this week.
Authorities believe 43-year-old Matthew Ballister III killed 43-year-old April Wyckoff of Cranford in his Union Township home sometime on Tuesday evening. They began looking for Wyckoff’s body on Friday morning at undisclosed locations in Union, Hudson, and Essex counties, and the search resumed at those sites Saturday morning.
Ballister’s 70-year-old mother is accused of interfering with the investigation. Authorities say she attempted to assist in his effort to conceal evidence of the crime.
Ballister has been charged with murder and remains jailed in lieu of $2 million bail.
