Fire Rages At Residential Building In Elizabeth, N.J.
ELIZABETH, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- Firefighters late Monday afternoon were battling a blaze at a residential building in Elizabeth, N.J.
The blaze broke out in a building at 608 Third Ave., at John Street, around 4 p.m. Monday, officials said.
Heavy smoke and flames were visible coming from the roof of the building. Ceilings had collapsed at several points, and the roof had partially collapsed, as of 5:15 p.m., WCBS 880 reported.
As of 5 p.m., there was no word on injuries or a cause.
