Developing: 4-Alarm Fire Tears Through Passaic Buildings
PASSAIC, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- Several families have been displaced after a four-alarm fire raced through at least two buildings in Passaic on Wednesday night, fire officials told 1010 WINS.
Firefighters had to stretch hoses to the rooftops of the buildings on Broadway in an effort to extinguish the flames that were shooting out of the structures.
PSE&G was also on the scene to shut off a gas line that was feeding the fire, officials said. Firefighters from several surrounding community responded to the blaze.
The cause of the fire was unknown around midnight, officials said. No injuries have been reported.
