Yellow Dogs Memorial Concert To Be Held In Brooklyn

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The surviving members of an Iranian indie rock group will put on a memorial concert Monday night for two of their bandmates who were shot and killed last week.

The Yellow Dogs will perform at Brooklyn Bowl in Greenpoint to raise money for the victims' families.

Other performers include the New York-based alternative rock group Nada Surf, several international bands and DJs.

Tickets are between $15 and $30.

Arash and Soroush Farazmand and their roommate, Ali Eskandarian, were shot to death in their Williamsburg home last Monday.

Police believe the gunman, a former member of another Iranian rock band, went on a rampage after a dispute over money.

Ali Akbar Mahammadi Rafie, 29, opened fire and then killed himself on the roof of the apartment building, police said.
