Brooklyn Man Shot Dead In Bridgeport, Conn.; Suspect Arrested

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- A Brooklyn man was shot and killed in Bridgeport, Conn., this past weekend, and a suspect has been arrested in the case.

Luis Rivera was arrested without incident Tuesday in New Haven on a warrant charging him with murder and criminal possession of a firearm by a felon, Bridgeport police said.

Rivera was ordered held on $1 million bond in the slaying of Karlhenry Gay of Brooklyn.

Police said Gay was shot just before 3 a.m. Sunday outside Mainport Fish and Chips on North Avenue.

They said Gay had been in Hamden and other locations in Bridgeport that night.

Investigators believe there had been a fight earlier in the night that flared up again outside the restaurant, and Gay was shot when he got involved.
