ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) – Six casinos in New Jersey have been given the green light to begin immediate statewide Internet gambling.
However, state regulators said the Golden Nugget still had work to do before it could join in on the fun.
New Jersey began a five-day trial period of online gambling last Thursday so it could test the technology and determine whether the systems were ready for the entire state to log on and play.
During the test period, many users were locked out by geolocation software that wrongly determined they were not within state lines.
