Suffolk County Legislator Wants To Waive Fees On Dismissed Tickets
NEW YORK(CBSNewYork) -- A legislator in Suffolk County has made a move to waive administrative fees associated with dismissed traffic tickets.
CBS 2 first reported on the issue last week, when drivers complained of having to pay $30 and $50 fees even though their tickets had been dismissed.
Suffolk County legislator Rob Calarco has introduced legislation that would waive the fees.
A vote on the proposal will be held next week. County Executive Steve Bellone has said that he will sign the legislation into law.
