Based on recent reports, it's a real possibility that Cano could shun the Yankees' offer in favor of signing a lucrative deal with the Mariners to take his talents to Seattle.
Unlike David Wright, Cano is not likely to give a "hometown discount" to remain in New York, so who is gonna blink first?
