Hit-And-Run Leaves Man Dead In Brooklyn

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — A man was struck and killed this weekend in a hit-and-run accident in Brooklyn.

Around 9:35 p.m. Saturday, police responded to a call of a pedestrian struck at Eastern and Rockaway parkways, on the cusp of the Crown Heights and Brownsville sections of Brooklyn.

Officers found the 51-year-old man unconscious and unresponsive on the ground, police said.

An investigation revealed that the man was crossing Eastern Parkway from north to south when he was hit by a four-door black sedan headed west on the roadway, police said.

The driver fled the scene before police arrived.

There were no arrests as of Sunday night, and the investigation continued.
