Greenwich Car Dealership Worker Charged With Sending Lewd Picture To Customer

GREENWICH, Conn. (CBSNewYork) - An employee of a luxury car dealership in Greenwich has been arrested after being accused of delivering more than valet transportation.

As WCBS 880 Connecticut Bureau Chief Fran Schneidau reported, the Stamford woman began her day by dropping her car off for servicing at the Mercedes-Benz dealership in Greenwich.

Once there, she was driven to her office by a valet at the dealership.

The woman's attorney said his client later received lewd text messages from the driver and a photo of his genitals.

"She was stunned. She couldn't believe it when she first saw it. And then when she connected the dots, she was shocked to realize that this pervert actually was from Mercedes-Benz," attorney Mark Sherman told Schneidau.

Sherman also said it's unclear how the worker was able to get his client's personal information.

Police determined the photo was sent by dealership employee Jonathan Silva, 22. He has been charged with harassment and obscenity.

Sherman said he'd seek an iron-clad protective order for his client. Silva is due to be arraigned later this month.
