Real? Fake? Deadspin Posts Pic Of Chubby A-Rod

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Deadspin ordered up an unlimited bowl of bad puns Wednesday when it posted on its website a picture of Alex Rodriguez looking a little saggy in the chin and round in the gut.

The image was sent to Deadspin from a Twitter user, who claimed the picture was taken around December 31.

Was it real? Photoshopped? Who knows. But there was nothing paunchy about Rodriguez when he showed up to the WFAN studios on November 20.

Decide for yourself.

Derek Jeter -- aka "Derek Eater," aka "Philip" -- was in a similar situation last offseason when the New York Post published an unflattering photo of him.

Rodriguez is challenging a season-long ban related to Major League Baseball's investigation into Biogenesis.
