Fires Break Out In Yonkers Home And Bronx Apartment, No Serious Injuries Reported

NEW YORK(CBSNewYork) -- Five people were treated for minor injuries following a high-rise fire in the Bronx on Sunday.

Flames broke out around 1:30 p.m. inside of a fifth floor apartment at 450 East 169th Street, CBS 2 reported.

The flames were contained to a single unit. The cause of the blaze is under investigation.

In Yonkers, a candle was suspected to be behind a 3-alarm house fire that broke out on Sunday morning.

Everyone got out of the Park Hill Ave home safely but the damage was extensive enough that residents will have to relocate while repairs are made.

Flames hit neighboring structures but were prevented from spreading.
