NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Jay Z’s Roc Nation Sports isn’t slowing down.
In fact, its client list is only expanding.
On Thursday, the sports agency announced that it signed Giants wide receiver Hakeem Nicks.
The 26-year-old is set to become a free agent in a few weeks, and there’s a very good possibility that he’ll sign with another team.
Nicks had a down year for Big Blue in 2013, catching 56 passes for 896 yards and no touchdowns in 15 games. But given his track record as a premier wideout, the Super Bowl XLVI champion is expected to receive a big payday from whichever team he signs with.
Nicks is thrilled to be teaming with the rapper and entrepreneur as he begins the next chapter of his career.
As far as other New York clients go, Roc Nation Sports’ list includes Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz, Yankees pitcher CC Sabathia and Jets quarterback Geno Smith.
Roc Nation also represents Lions defensive end Ndamukong Suh, Thunder forward Kevin Durant and WNBA star Skylar Diggins.
