Bergenfield Police Search For Man Accused Of Trying To Lure Teen

NEW JERSEY (CBSNewYork) — Police in New Jersey are searching for a man who they say tried to lure a young girl into his vehicle last week.

According to officials, the man followed a 13-year-old girl in his Sport Utility Vehicle nearĀ Palisade Avenue and South Taylor Street inĀ Bergenfield, New Jersey on Tuesday night, WCBS 880 reported.

Police released a sketch of the suspect, who they say asked the teen if she wanted a ride.

Officials said the teen declined the offer and ran. The teen told police the man then circled the block and drove by again, saying something to her as he drove by.

The suspect is described as having red hair, a red mustache, freckles and is believed to be between 30 and 35 years old.
