Man Found Fatally Stabbed In Brownsville Houses
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — A Brooklyn man was found stabbed to death in the stairwell of a housing development early Sunday morning.
Police responded to a 911 call just before 2 a.m. at the Brownsville Houses and found Michael Artist, 52, on the second-floor stairs. He suffered stab wounds to his chest and left arm, police said.
Artist was transported to Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
Artist lived at 157 Belmont Ave., several blocks away from the Brownsville Houses.
There have been no arrests, and police are continuing to investigate.
