Police In The Bronx Seek Man In Women's Clothing Who Stole iPhone

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The New York Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying and locating a man who stole an iPhone in the Bronx.

According to police, a man dressed in women's clothing walked into the Mo Tress Wig/Hair Store located at 4200 White Plains Rd. on Monday around 5:40 p.m., took the victim's iPhone 5S off the display counter and walked out of the store.

The victim, a 29-year-old female, is an employee of the store and the incident was caught on video surveillance, which has been released.

The suspect is described as a black male, between 5'7" and 5'8" tall, and has a stocky build.

He was last seen wearing a multi-colored dress with a black hooded jacket and a red hooded coat.

Anyone with information in regard to the incident is asked to call Crime stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
